2018-2019学年第一学期已经结束，为不断丰富馆藏资源，及提供更多优质图书供师生借阅，学习资源中心于上学期举办了2018中文图书展，展出了4000余册内容丰富多样的图书。书展现场吸引了众多师生驻足挑选，最终收录3000余册图书纳入馆藏，获得了大家的热情支持。

During the week of Nov 19th – 22nd, LRC organized the 2018 Chinese Books Fair which offered a broad variety of titles; more than 3,000 books were selected and added to its collection.

中文书展期间，学习资源中心还举办了“精神健康，心理学和你”及“图书馆：你所不知道的那些趣事”两场趣味讲座。在讲座“精神健康，心理学和你”中，DST的心理学系主任何义炜博士与师生们分享了保持精神健康的实用技巧，并现场解答了师生们有关心理学的疑问。

“Mental Health, Psychology, and You”
During the dialogue exchange session, Dr. Ho (Applied Psychology, DST) initiated and engaged in a discussion with audiences regarding Mental Health issues from a psychological perspective, and shared time tested strategies as to how one could develop and maintain good mental health status.

在“图书馆：你所不知道的那些趣事”讲座中，DHSS的徐曦博士通过充满趣味性的小故事，讲述了图书馆行业的发展历史。两场讲座兼具实用性和趣味性，现场气氛十分活跃。

“Fun Facts about Library”
Through fun and interesting stories, Dr. Xu Xi (Contemporary English Language & Literature, DHSS) shared some library rules in the old days, history of library and its development.

These dialogue exchange sessions were fun, interesting and engaging!

与在校师生互动的同时，学习资源中心还面向毕业后在外求学的UICers发起了“我的大学图书馆”照片征集活动。活动得到了校友们的积极回应，所分享的图书馆照片在中文书展现场进行播放，受到了广大师生的关注。

UICers who are studying overseas also supported the library event by sending the photos of their University Libraries. Over 100 photos were collected and displayed in the LRC.
