The delegates from Georgetown University, a 224-year-old private research university in Washington DC, held a school presentation and seminar at Learning Commons of LRC during their visit to UIC from November 5th to 6th.
At the school presentation on November 5, staff from Georgetown University explained in detail on the qualification and advantages to apply for their Biomedical Graduate Education Programmes. The recruitment scheme largely directs towards the Biostatistics programme enrolment. Georgetown University encourages applications from students of the Statistics, Food Science and Engineering, and Environmental Science programes.

On November 6th, Prof. Ming Tan from Georgetown University also delivered a speech on Statistical Methods for Clinical Trials: Multistage Adaptive Designs and Interim Analyses at Learning Commons.

During the lecture, Prof. Tan has not only brought in some basic statistic knowledge, but also case studies. Students and staffs from DST were totally engrossed in the speech.
