The Learning Resource Centre is offering free trial access to four new databases, including Euromonitor Passport (till May 15, 2019), 中国基本古籍库 (till May 31, 2019), EBSCO Academic Search Ultimate (till November 30, 2019) and EBSCO Business Source Ultimate (till November 30, 2019).

1. Euromonitor Passport (trial till May 15, 2019)

Euromonitor International's Passport is an integrated online database, providing business intelligence on industries, economies and consumers. Content includes industry statistics and analysis, global economic, demographic and marketing statistics, consumer trends, company performance, and competitor analytics.

2. 中国基本古籍库 (trial till May 31, 2019)

中国基本古籍库是综合性大型古籍数据库,共收录先秦至民国历代经典名著及各学科基本文献1万种,选用宋、元、明、清及民国各级善本12000个,皆制成数码全文,另附原版影像。总计全文17亿字,影像1200万页,数据总量350G,相当于3部四库全书,不但是全球目前最大的中文古籍数字出版物,也是中国有史以来最大的历代典籍总汇。

3. EBSCO Academic Search Ultimate (trial till November 30, 2019)

Academic Search Ultimate is an upgrade from Academic Search Premier (complete). The ultimate edition was developed to meet the increasing demands of scholarly research. It includes academic journals, magazines, periodicals, reports, books and videos in virtually every discipline ranging from astronomy, anthropology, biomedicine, engineering, health, law and literacy to mathematics, pharmacology, women’s studies, zoology and more. It provides full text for more than 10,000 journals and magazines, including full text for more than 9,000 peer-reviewed journals.

4. EBSCO Business Source Ultimate (trial till November 30, 2019)

Business Source Ultimate is an upgrade from Business Source Premier. The ultimate edition is an excellent starting point for research in all areas of business, including accounting, finance, banking, marketing, management and much more. It offers access to more than 3,500 full-text journals and magazines, of which more than 2,100 are scholarly. It also provides videos from the Harvard Business School Faculty Seminar Series.

Please note:
While on campus, simply click on individual database to gain direct access to the e-resources, whereas you will be prompted to sign in via the LRC’s VPN while accessing e-resources off campus (i.e. at dormitory, home, etc).
