The main function of reference management software is to help you efficiently collect and properly manage literature materials, and automatically generate citations and reference lists when writing papers. You can import references of books, articles, theses, dissertations, conference proceedings, etc. from online databases and other various sources into RefWorks/EndNote 2025, and export them in the reference styles you choose (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.) into Word or other types of documents. It significantly enhances the quality and efficiency of paper writing. LRC currently subscribes to two reference management software — RefWorks and EndNote 2025.

RefWorks is a web-based Reference Manager developed by ProQuest. You can use it directly as long as you have internet access. EndNote 2025 is a desktop citation manager developed by Clarivate; it integrates seamlessly with the library’s Web of Science subscription content.

When you use RefWorks or EndNote 2025 for the first time, you need to create a new account while you are on campus or via the BNBU VPN.

Video tutorials are available on iSpace. Remember to click on “Enrol me” when you access the LRC’s online resources for the first time.
